Veterinarian | Paws Whiskers & Claws
We are seeking a feline-exclusive Veterinarian to complete our team at Paws Whiskers and Claws in Marietta, GA. Mentorships available!
Interested in a short work day and week? How about no emergency calls, no boarding, and minimal to no hospitalization?
We practice ethical medicine (we are a no declaw practice) while focusing on OUR quality of life as well as our patients'. We work hard but smart so that we allow for excellent patient care and client education while preserving our personal time.
We specialize in complex disease management, heavy in internal medical and behavioral problems. Dr Luoma, who graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019, practices detail oriented, education focused medicine alongside certified cat behavior consultant Ingrid Johnson. Together, they micromanage each cat's quality of life from every aspect and help their owners understand what their cat needs and why.
Education and hands on instruction are the hallmark of our success. Our appointments for new clients and patients are 1 to 1.5 hours since there is so much to learn about each patient and then teach each owner about what their cat needs to thrive. Regular appointments are 1 hour or 30 minutes. We never double book.
Clients come to us because they want to treat; they want to do something for their cat(s). Too many vets do not give owners the knowledge or options of what to do with a diagnosis, if they even obtain one.
We value continuing education for ourselves so that we stay current for our clients who have high expectations of our knowledge and abilities. We want to pass on all that we have learned to an associate veterinarian who is eager to practice and learn the intricacies of feline medicine and what we have learned over the nearly 20 years Paws Whiskers and Claws have been making a difference in the community..
We welcome new ideas and ways to improve upon what and how we care for our patients and their owners. We hope a new associate will bring knowledge and skills to add to our acumen.
We encourage all interested applicants, including new graduates, but prefer someone with at least 2 years of experience. However, a passion for feline medicine and behavior is all that we require; we can do the rest!
