We offer a flexible schedule of either 3/12s, 4/10s, or 5/8s. Basic skills include effective triage and collection of vitals, diagnostic preparation and testing, IV Catheter placement, venipuncture and urine collection, anesthetic monitoring and surgical assistance, wound management, drug administration and preparation, documentation of medical records, sterilization and cleanliness of the hospital, as well as providing exceptional customer service.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Any allergies to animals must be controllable through medication.
Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions.
Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day.
Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written directions.
Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone.
Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing hospital equipment such as electric clippers, syringes, radiology equipment, laboratory equipment, computers, etc.
May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
